The award-winning YARDBIRD restaurant is always slammed, and has from the start been the reference point against which all other innovative restaurants in hong kong are compared. Inspired by bauhaus-era german factory worker canteens, yardbird is a really direct, minimalist project – more time was spent deleting than creating design for this modern izakaya.
Constructed from a powder coated steel frame w/ true varietal wood veneer seat + seat back the Yardbird Chair by Sean Dix is a perfect example of a solid, straight-forward chair with an understated design sensibility. The Yardbird Chair is built to last and age well and are suitable for contract or commercial.
SEAN DIX was born in Kansas City (USA). He has lived around the world experiencing multiple global cultures before landing in Hong Kong in 2008. He graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, Rietveld Academie (Amsterdam) and Domus Academy (Milan). He has extensive experience working with and leading international teams of clients, designers, project architects with a knack to bring complex projects to fruition.

Manufactured Products: Unless otherwise stated in writing, products manufactured by PROJECT DIRECT are guaranteed against defects and workmanship for the Original Owner for a period of one (1) year from the date of purchase. Any defects will be repaired or replaced at our option and free of charge if returned to our repair facility.
Non-Manufactured Products: Products supplied by, but not manufactured by PROJECT DIRECT, such as vinyl, fabric, etc., shall be warrantied by the original manufacturer. PROJECT DIRECT accepts no responsibility whatsoever for Customer’s Own Materials (COM).
Disclaimers: This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear and does not cover damages due to or resulting from misuse, abuse, neglect, accident, or consequential damages. Charges for unauthorized repairs or alterations without the written approval by the factory become the responsibility of the customer. If a defect is noted, it must be reported to the factory no later than 48 hours after shipment is received.
Altered Product: Any alterations of PROJECT DIRECT supplied product without the consent of PROJECT DIRECT in writing may void all warranties.
RPG (Returned Product Goods) must be sent to our appropriate repair facility. Address to be provided at time of shipment dependent where goods were produced, and location of project.
